Go With The Dream

'Go with the dream', he said,
a benediction, really,
from the depths of his soul,
flailing wildly his arms
for emphasis,
and his eyes burning the prayer
into my heart.

What energy flows from the one
who has heard,
then traces in the air
a profound hopefulness,
lifting the spirit,
clearing the vision,
imparting the strength of the possible.
