Candle

Matthew 5:14
Such a small
pinpoint
of light,

For the whole world!

So still,
subtle,
insistent in the gloom;
shining not on,
but within,
the layers of the self.

So spirited a shining
of candled flesh - mind - spirit
for the softening and the glowing

     even
     for
     my

     hard darkness.
