The Winter of '04-'05

Last autumn the weather was new to me,
Every frost a new experience
And the snow a long-absent marvel from
Vivid childhood memories. Vivid then; now,
Etched faintly on the backside of my mind.

Autumn, a change-of-life time...

This Fall and Winter season is a bit different, with
Rare snowfall, little frost
And the temperatures generally above 32 (F).
In contrast to last year's trudgery,
Leaving a trail* this year is far more difficult.
